            Recertification Course

Update an Expired WFR Certification

Our intensive two-day class is specially designed for people who have completed WFR, whose certification is due to expire or will expire within one month of the date shown on the card. Typically we advise students to retake the full WFR course after three recertifications to ensure that skills are maintained to a satisfactory standard. Taking the WFR Recertification will bring you up to date with all new wilderness protocols and refresh your memory on standard WFR curriculum. CPR is not included, although to maintain your WFR qualification you must have current CPR certification. American Heart Association (AHA) HeartSaver CPR, valid for two years, can be taken on the evening of the first day (5:30pm-7:30pm) at an additional charge of $35. Remember to bring your expired AWFA card and proof of current CPR if you choose not to take the evening class offered at NOC.
