Must-Have Certification for Outdoor Professionals

SOLO Southeast's Advanced Wilderness First Aid courses provides in-depth information and practical backcountry first aid skills ranging from medical and environmental emergencies to improvising litters and litter-carrying techniques. In AWFA courses, a large emphasis on leadership is combined with plenty of hands-on practice and coaching from our team of instructors. This is an intensive, four-day, 32-hour course which is the industry standard for professional work in the outdoors. AHA HeartSaver CPR is included in this course.

Advanced Wilderness First Aid (AWFA)

The AWFA course goes into greater depth than the WFA on the basic first aid subjects. The course emphasizes leadership skills and presents new skills such as litter packaging and traction splinting.
